3 Purpose of Processing of Personal Data / Purpose of the Register

3.1 Processing related to customer relationship management

The purpose of the processing is the management of the customer relationship, the fulfilment of the rights and obligations of the customer and Heart2Save Oy, and the processing of personal data in accordance with data protection legislation for purposes related to online services. Personal data may also be used by Heart2Save Oy for advertising and/or direct marketing targeted to customers on the basis of customer data, without disclosing personal data to external parties.

The information is used for business purposes such as customer relationship management and maintenance, and for delivering customer and newsletter communications.

3.2 Processing related to product use

The purpose of the processing is to provide the customer with information about heart rhythm disturbances using the ECG signal measured by the product. The signal processing is carried out using a pseudonymised ECG signal. The customer’s identifying information is linked to the ECG report from the customer register during processing, if the customer has saved it there.

3.3 Processing related to product quality management and development

The purpose of the processing is to monitor and improve the algorithms related to the product’s functionality. The ECG data required for the processing is stored pseudonymised in the measurement register (the customer cannot be identified solely from the content of the measurement register; identification requires linking the data with the customer register). Algorithm development and quality control are carried out using pseudonymised data.

Identifiable customer data is used only if it is necessary to contact the customer, for example due to a detected hazardous situation or product defect.

4 Contents of the Register

4.1 Customer Register

The register contains the customer’s email address as mandatory information, and optionally the customer’s first and last name.

4.2 Measurement Register

The measurement register contains the customer’s measurement orders, measured ECG signals, analysis results generated by the algorithm, and a pseudonymised identifier that allows the information in the register to be linked to the customer in the customer register.

5 Sources of Data

5.1 Customer Register

The register is compiled from the information provided by Heart2Save Oy’s customers during their registration.

5.2 Measurement Register

The data in the register is produced by the ECG sensor and the algorithms included in the service.

6 Disclosure and Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA

Heart2Save Oy does not disclose register data to external parties except where required by authorities.

7 Principles of Register Protection

The register data is stored confidentially. Heart2Save Oy’s data network and the servers on which the registers are located are protected using appropriate technical safeguards. The customer’s personal data is stored separately from measurement data and analysis results. Access rights to the registers are restricted based on job roles.

8 Right of Access

The customer has the right to request access to the information collected about them or their company. Heart2Save Oy will provide the information without delay upon the customer’s request.

9 Rectification, Deletion, and Right to Object

The customer has the right to request correction of incorrect information. The customer may also request the deletion of their personal information from the customer register. Heart2Save Oy will make the necessary corrections and/or delete the customer data without delay and notify the customer once the requested actions have been completed.

The customer may unsubscribe from newsletters at any time, in which case customer data is removed from the marketing register.

The customer has the right to prohibit the disclosure and use of their data for direct marketing and other marketing purposes.
